Gahanna Lincoln Cuts Down Nets

Stevie Taylor
On a night that saw a couple of unbeaten teams fall, the Gahanna Lincoln Golden Lions cut down the nets on their second OCC Ohio championship in as many years. The 19-1 Golden Lions destroyed an undermanned Groveport team by a score of 92-40.  Gahanna was led in scoring by Jamel Morris and Trey Warr, both of whom finished 19 points, and Stevie Taylor finished 9 points and 10 assisits. Gahanna will open tournament play on Tuesday, when they face off against Westland. It's important that Gahanna shared the title with a 19-1 Pickerington North team that is poised to upset a team in the tournament.

In addition to Westerville South and Upper Arlington taking their first lost, Cincinnati's Lakota East and Moller both took losses as the head into tournament play.  I think the upcoming tournament is wide open and up for grabs. With Dublin Coffman's win over UA, they grabbed a share of the OCC Central title.  Despite Westerville South's slip up, they had already clinched the OCC Cardinal title last week.  To see the pictures I took at the game, vitist the Buckeye Prep Facebook Fan Page.
